W.A.R.D. description

W.A.R.D. offers a bold twist on Tower Defense set in a stylized sci‑fi universe. You command mobile mining units called Excavators, pushing into alien worlds to extract precious ores. Those resources power a growing network of routes and towers as you secure deposits and push your arsenal to the limit, all while pursuing the rare mineral Winnium that fuels between‑mission upgrades.

Build Core mechanics define the pace. Piece together a path that links Excavators to the ore deposits. Each path segment becomes a dual-edged tool: it channels Constructium to reinforce defenses and expand your network, yet it also forms a corridor for incoming enemies, demanding careful planning and timely reinforcement.

Dynamic, movable warfare. The battlefield is not static—your base can shift when pressure mounts. Design emergency paths to retreat behind fortified lines, or abandon a site and relocate to a fresh destination. Adaptability is essential as you chase ore, fend off native defenders, and optimize routes on the fly.

Resources and progression. Constructium funds construction and defensive upgrades on each mission, letting you fortify chokepoints, repair structures after combat, and extend your reach. Winnium, the rarer mineral, unlocks between-mission research and arsenal upgrades—granting access to new technologies, enhanced modules, and more powerful weapons for tougher expeditions.

Physics-driven 3D action. W.A.R.D. takes full advantage of its three-dimensional environment: every object has a physical hitbox and behaves under real physics. Enemies can collide, push each other, and even be hurled by explosions, adding a tangible layer of strategy to route layout and combat timing.

Strategic loop and progression. Plan a mining run, connect Excavators to deposits with efficient connectors, and defend against waves of native defenders. Gather Constructium and Winnium to unlock and invest in new technologies and upgrades, then tackle the next mission with a strengthened loadout. The balance between exploration, routing, and combat creates a distinctive, evolving rhythm that scales with each mission.
