TORNBLADE is a dark, brutal indie action RPG inspired by the spirit of classic games from the 80s and 90s. You play as a lone knight, a wanderer drifting through a land drowned in decay and silence. Your body is consumed by a dark affliction born from a mysterious substance. While saving yourself from corruption may also save others who still cling to the shadows, every step toward the truth tightens the line between redemption and damnation, as sharp as the edge of your blade.

Dual Perspective Gameplay — TORNBLADE blends two distinct viewpoints to pull you deeper into its world:

• Top-down exploration: roam the vast realm of Hraefnfeld, uncover landmarks, reveal new fragments of the map, speak with inhabitants, investigate ruins, and discover hidden paths and treasures marked on ancient charts.
• Side-scrolling combat: engage brutal, unforgiving encounters where reflex, precision, and composure mean survival against merciless foes and deadly obstacles.

The world rots and reveals its secrets slowly. Landmarks break open to reveal fragments of a larger map, guiding you toward relics and discoveries that shift both your journey and your own nature. The balance between exploration and combat is deliberate: every decision, every encounter, and every treasure shapes your fate.

World, Atmosphere & Lore — Hraefnfeld is a land of light, mist, decay, and destruction. The atmosphere is built from gore and horror that are not mere decoration but essential textures of unease and mystery. The lore blends elements of Celtic mythology, weaving legends with ruin to create a world where solitude, fear, and temptation become part of the journey.

Progression & Combat Systems — As you progress, you acquire new armor, weapons, and abilities. Your choice of fighting style, tactics, and reactions to what you encounter will steer your path forward. The game emphasizes consequence: how you equip yourself, how you approach fights, and how you navigate the land’s dangers all influence the outcome.

Production & Studio — TORNBLADE is crafted by a small two-person team, focused on a raw, immersive atmosphere that honors dark, classic RPGs. The world is realized with a hands-on, in-engine aesthetic that highlights light, mist, and ruin as a singular, haunting vision.
