Dungeon of Departure description
Dungeon of Departure
Trapped in a mysterious cave system, four dungeon explorers race against fading light to reach the surface. Dungeon of Departure is an independently developed pixel-art visual novel set in an original universe, where your choices shape who survives and how the story unfolds.
You play as an unnamed, silent protagonist who joins Akari and three other explorers from Tivanna Explorer's Guild to map a vast underground complex. After a night of preparation, a series of misfortunes strands you in the dungeon. As you guide the team, your map-making and way-finding become crucial, steering the group through unknown rooms, passages, and peril.

Setting and premise
The dungeon plays host to an underground living complex built during two hundred years of surface warming. In Tivanna, the group must rely on map-making to survive and to guide everyone back to the light. The story emphasizes choice, consequence, and the evolving dynamics between Akari, Duro, Keiva, and you as you navigate a cave where every turn could be a doorway to hope or peril.
Length
Act I typically runs about 1.5–2 hours, with Acts II–V each about an hour or less. A single ending can take roughly 4–7 hours, and completing all paths to see every ending may take 12–18 hours in total.
