The depths hold more than treasure. You’ll explore ten unique biomes, each bringing its own special mechanic and unlockable ability. Biomes are selected at world generation, so every run offers new areas to chart and new tools to earn. The combination of tools, upgrades, and biome-specific rules creates a tailored challenge every time you play.

Resources gathered while digging through coral, wreckage, and seafloor vents can be spent in the upgrade tree to improve your strength, speed, and oxygen, or to gain utility upgrades that affect mining efficiency and exploration options. You can push your character forward or work on fixing your submarine to unlock different paths and shortcuts. With many decisions to make, you’ll constantly choose what to spend resources on first.

Resurface emphasizes replayability. Each run lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, but the procedural generation and randomized starting conditions make every session distinct. Completing games unlocks new tools, maps, and abilities, expanding what you can try next time. The more you play, the deeper the understanding and the more daring your routes become.
