Trader Traveler description

Trader Traveler

Trader Traveler is a 2D casual sandbox trading game where you journey from city to city, buying and selling materials to build your fortune. Start with a small backpack, study changing markets, and try to outsmart a world that never stays stable for long.

Every city has its own economy, and prices constantly shift. Track price fluctuations, spot bargains, and sell at the right time to maximize profit. Along the way, you may encounter negotiation opportunities that can improve your deals—if you’re willing to take the risk.

This is a simple concept with a chaotic twist: the world actively fights back. Random incidents can damage or ruin your goods—meat can rot, glass can break, and more. Your materials can even be stolen, turning a great run into a desperate scramble. Cities may also suffer disasters that affect both the prices and availability of specific materials, forcing you to adapt your strategy on the fly.

Customize the chaos. At the start of a new game, you can adjust the probabilities behind nearly everything: price increases or decreases, fluctuation magnitude, newly distributed materials, item incidents, disasters, and negotiation chances. Make it a relaxed trading journey or an unpredictable high-risk challenge—your rules, your economy.

There is no traditional ending. Progress is defined by how long you can survive and how high you can push your wealth. Expand by upgrading your storage capacity to carry more materials, but upgrades cost money—meaning every expansion is a strategic commitment.

Failure conditions keep the pressure on: if you lose all your materials and hit zero or negative money, you’re out. If you still have materials but your money drops to -100, you also lose. Manage cash flow, protect your inventory, and plan routes carefully.

Ultimate goal: reach an absurdly massive fortune and “break the game” by accumulating the legendary amount of money. Until then, keep traveling, keep trading, and keep chasing the perfect deal.

Travel. Trade. Survive.
