LOST IN TRANSIT description
LOST IN TRANSIT
Enter Beton Gardens, a concrete maze of tower blocks, empty roads, and silent stations. The POPEGOD corporation rules the city by owning the only lifeline that still moves: the railway. Lately, entire trains vanish mid-journey—carriages full of people swallowed by the system that was meant to keep the city connected.
Story
You play as Marzipan, a nurse at Beton Gardens Hospital. Alongside her best friend, Burgundy, she’s drawn into the mystery behind the disappearances—and into the machinery of a city that runs on absence. What begins as a routine day spirals into a search through shuttered platforms, flickering corridors, and the spaces between arrivals and departures. The deeper you go, the clearer it becomes: the timetable is a lie, and something is curating who makes it home.
Gameplay
- Story-first horror: A narrative-driven experience focused on atmosphere, character, and unraveling a central mystery.
- Top-down exploration: Move through districts, stations, and institutional interiors, piecing together what the rail network hides.
- First-person menu segments: Investigate, interact, and make choices through tense, menu-driven perspectives that pull you closer to the unknown.
Visual Identity
- Pre-rendered backdrops: Moody, constructed spaces that feel heavy and lived-in.
- Hand-drawn art and sprite work: Expressive visuals that blend grit with surreal detail.
Setting
Beton Gardens is a city that functions like a machine: efficient, opaque, and indifferent. POPEGOD’s control over the tracks gives them power over movement, and over people. Stations are hubs of rumor and dread; platforms become scenes of absence. Every line drawn on the map hides another that doesn’t appear in public timetables.
Made With
Built in RPG Maker 2003, LOST IN TRANSIT embraces classic design sensibilities while leaning into experimental presentation and pacing suited to urban horror.
