This carnival‑style arcade first‑person shooter uses virtual reality to place you inside the manor’s eerie corridors, where every corner hums with suspense and spectacle.

Evil bats have overtaken the mansion and locked away the Battington family. You are equipped with unconventional sacred tools—the garlic bazooka and a holy water blaster—and your mission is to push through candlelit halls, blasting waves of bats as you press toward the heart of the estate. The gameplay blends fast shooting with a sense of theatre, delivering a lively, arcade-like rhythm as you clear the haunted rooms.

Progression leads you to a dungeon arena where the action intensifies. There, you must free the good bats from cages and rally them to reclaim the manor. The objective is clear: neutralize the evil swarm, liberate the captives, and restore peace to Battington Manor while surviving the eerie ambience and escalating encounters.

Battington Manor is a solo project created by Natasha Patel for the 2025 VR Haunted House Event at Ringling College of Art and Design. The experience invites players of all ages, including newcomers to virtual reality, with approachable controls and an inviting entry into immersive VR storytelling.
