VIOLA_ is a 2D interrogation visual novel in which you take on the role of an Interrobot sent to the Canta police station to coax truth from a cast of eccentric criminals and witnesses. The world is populated by Cees, characters with circular heads and a penchant for violence that feels like something drawn from stick figures. Your conversations, choices, and discoveries drive the story as you navigate tense interrogations and fragile alibis.

Set in a quirky precinct, VIOLA_ blends dry humor with atmospheric mystery. The hidden alignments, odd relationships, and the peculiar energy of the station create a sense of tone that is equal parts noir and offbeat charm.

Meet the Chosens, a core crew you’ll cross paths with in and around the station:

• Johnny Abraham: A laid-back, donut-loving cop who’s quick to lend a hand or invite you along for some mischief. Don’t mistake his kindness or scatterbrained manner for weakness—he’s here for a reason.
• Sammy Paulissen: The station’s lead investigator and its sole woman. She greets you with gritted teeth but is unfailingly reliable, especially when it comes to her crew. Beneath her prickly exterior lies something softer… just not for you.
• Chief Hancock: The Star station’s patient chief. He can seem intimidating, but he’s a gentle giant who will help you in measured steps. He raises two kids on his own, and he always seems to know more than he lets on.
• Walt Haley: The donut courier of the precinct. Not an employee, but you’ll see him often with boxes of fresh pastries. He’s sweet, with a strong sense of justice and a particular soft spot for Sammy—whether that’s help or trouble is up to you.
• The fifth Chosen: He’s fascinated by computers, offering a tech edge to your investigations.
• The sixth Chosen: He’s very bitey, bringing a sharper, more confrontational energy to your cases.
