Vespertales is an atmospheric adventure RPG set in Helion, a dream-shaped world where imagination builds reality and darkness can break it. You step into the shoes of Sandy, a young dreamer who travels the shifting landscapes in search of her brother Matty, trapped inside his own corrupted dream. As you wander surreal biomes and encounter beings born from emotion, you uncover a creeping shadow that threatens the balance between waking and dream.

The Sentiment Shift System drives how the world responds to Sandy’s mood and choices. Serenity unlocks calm exploration, gentle encounters, and meaningful discoveries. Chaos fuels intense combat, emboldened NPCs, and greater rewards. Gloom plunges areas into a void state with hidden paths and special secrets. Your actions tip the balance and gradually decide which sentiment dominates each region, shaping the dreamscape you traverse.

Restore light, push back the darkness

To restore the dream’s light you must destroy corrupted Beacons and push back the Ring of Darkness. Each Beacon you cleanse reveals new dream biomes, crafted from Matty’s imagination and memories, inviting fresh exploration and new challenges.
