SAD GOD

Descend into a pit of monsters and traps, where every run is a test of nerve and precision. Collect coins to grow stronger and grab weapons from eerie altars. Touch a mysterious orb, then race for the surface before the lava closes in.

SAD GOD is a platformer, shooter, and roguelike with procedurally generated stages crafted to deliver finite, repeatable thrills. The power you seek is within reach, but the path is harsh and the clock is always ticking.

Gameplay and Modes

• Normal (Casual): you can retry a level after you die, letting you learn the layout and master the flow.
• Hardcore: conquer all 7 levels without dying for a true test of endurance.
• Plus Modes: finish Normal and Hardcore to unlock tougher difficulties where monsters gain new abilities, harder level chunks are chosen, cursed weapons appear, and bosses rage with greater fury.

A Demo offers the first four levels of Normal mode to preview the challenge and feel of the game before diving in.

Worlds and Encounters

Explore Esoteria, home to seven boss battles, a dozen monsters, and a labyrinth of traps awaiting discovery. Arm yourself with 50+ weapons and experiment with diverse tools of combat.

There is also a hidden secret fishing activity to uncover for those who seek quirky twists amid the danger.

Co-op and Community Play

An unofficial co-op mode lets a second player join as the main character’s dog. Use a second gamepad, or keyboard controls: move with < > J L and shoot with K L ; [ ]. Joining costs one of player 1’s hearts; in Normal mode, Player 2 can join for free when you have one heart remaining. Player 2 has one life and limited powers.

There are no restricted “pick 1 of 3” menus, keeping choices direct and fast-paced.
