Sai-Kyo’s commemorative first title blends straightforward arcade action with a boldly imagined world. Set in a distant era near the eastern edge of the world, a vibrant town culture, advanced technology, and ancient sorcery coexist. The story erupts when a heretical cult, Shinrakyo, kidnaps Tsukihime, the Shogun’s daughter, aiming to resurrect an evil god.

Six ace pilots rise to defend the realm. A dramatic aerial battle unfolds across eight stages, inviting both solo strategy and cooperative chaos.

Gameplay essentials — Simple 8-direction control with two buttons keeps the action accessible while delivering depth through powerful options and escalating challenge.

• Charge shots: hold the attack button to unleash a Super Shot after powering up.

Each pilot brings a unique craft and role, forming a diverse squad ready to counter Shinrakyo’s plan. The six ace pilots are:

• Jane Hayate — 21, female ninja guardian, pilots the Astonishing Ninja Glider Tobikage.
• Turbo Monk Tengei — 50, male Buddhist monk, rides the Spirit-Imbued Falcon and Mystic Bird Zenjiro.
• Super Genius Dog Ken’ōmaru — unknown age, pilot of the high-tech Supersonic Dogfighter Blue Fang.
• The Wild Shrine Maiden Koyori — 17, shrine maiden, commands the Crimson Torii-Shaped Biplane God Wafoon.
• Flash Aine — 25, male samurai, harnesses the Shinden J-9A and searches for his missing sister.
• Karakuri Master Gennai — 77, Dutch studies scholar, flies the Elektel No. 1 with his karakuri robot Ranmaru.
