The core mechanic unfolds floor by floor. Each level hides anomalies—one hundred and one in total—but some floors may contain none, forcing you to look twice and listen carefully. To progress you must enter the correct door after observing the surroundings, choosing between left or right. A wrong decision sends you instantly back to the first floor, heightening tension and demanding a careful rethink of every clue. This design rewards attention, patience, and the ability to notice subtle cues that others overlook.

Your shared objective on the main path is to reach the eighth floor, yet there is no guaranteed route. The floors are constructed to test your memory and pattern recognition as you learn the rhythms of the patient’s psyche. Each room can shift in detail, so even familiar patterns can change with repetition. The game emphasizes deliberate exploration over frantic action, inviting you to slow down, observe, and deduce what the environment is trying to tell you about the patient’s condition.

Memory fragments are the threads that connect the narrative. In Story Mode you explore multiple key scenes to uncover these fragments, gradually unveiling the origins of the patient’s symptoms. Collecting fragments reveals connections between experiences, memories, and the illness itself. As you reconstruct the story, you gain insight into the patient’s inner world and the truth behind the symptoms you’re chasing.
