I.T. Never Ends description

I.T Never Ends

You take the role of a newly hired Systems Administrator at a quirky company that acts like it’s 2015, even if the USB drive buried in the wall disagrees. Your daily duty is dense and relentless: process tickets, keep the lights on, and stop the coffee machine’s prophecies from ruining someone’s morning. The pay is miserable and the hours are brutal. If any of your four core metrics—Productivity, Budget, Morale, and Entropy—drops to zero, you’re gone. And if Entropy climbs too high, the building begins to remember things. The Bahamas are unlikely to happen for you.

The loop is simple in presentation but brutal in consequence: a flood of tech support requests from coworkers arrives every day, and you must decide quickly. The interface is straightforward, but the outcomes are not. Swipe right to approve a ticket, swipe left to deny it. Every choice alters the metrics and the office’s odd reality in unpredictable ways.

Every ticket matters. A spectrum of scenarios greets you: a password reset that cycles back to the same user, a printer that seems to breathe, an urgent floor that shouldn’t exist, and VPN access demanded by Legal from a redacted source. Three coworkers text that they’re “almost back” for hours. The mundane and the surreal collide, forcing you to weigh urgency against the cost to morale and budget.

You don’t just press buttons—you solve with tactile Manual Override Minigames. Censor redacted documents before they awaken panic, and stabilize documents that were not meant for mortal eyes. It’s not just about keeping systems online; it’s about keeping chaos from becoming reality.

Stabilize the network as the server room develops its own weather system. Patch packet loss, mend broken stacks, and reroute power before rack 7 floods. Weather events can arrive on the dot—rain at exactly 2:47 PM—demanding quick, decisive action to prevent a cascade of failures.

You also hunt for rogue data: track volatile entities through the server architecture before they corrupt something important—or find you first. The error messages are beautiful, poetic, and maddeningly unhelpful, leaving you to infer meaning from timing, trends, and your dwindling resources.

You are employee #47. Or #48. The numbers keep changing. Punch in. Process tickets. Do not ask what happened to Marvin. In I.T Never Ends, every day is a new anomaly, every ticket a rumor, and every choice a test of survival in a never-ending, absurd, and dangerously funny corporate labyrinth.
