This title is an all-ages version of Margarita (Berkeley's Maid: Remake Edition), specially processed for normal release in the Chinese market to meet Steam region standards. Playtest is currently available in Simplified Chinese, with localization support for additional languages announced soon.
Free access includes Chapters 1, 2, and the first and second halves of Chapter 3. Chapters 4 through 6 are delivered as the main story DLC inside this game. To experience the complete BMRE content, you can purchase the main story DLC expansion for Chapters 4–6 at the same price as BMRE. If you already own BMRE, no extra purchase is required—the game and its DLC update together. Crowdfunding buyers receive a redemption code; other channels will publish future purchase options via in-game announcements.
This is not a light, cute adventure. It’s a deeper, more intense horror experience that may challenge new players. Flashes, loud noises, and jumpscares are likely to cause discomfort, and the game does not tailor intensity for specific groups. Set within a sprawling “miniscape” of a house and its secrets, you explore fragmented stories through in-game puzzles and mission objectives. The search for origins and a past that remains shrouded in mystery drives the narrative forward, all while a perilous world presses in. A promise to a sister and the looming cold of a blizzard threaten to bury everything—so you must uncover where you belong and what really happened.
Characters you’ll meet include Nordisy, the Berkeley family’s maid who bears a hidden history after witnessing a father’s execution; Tina, the brilliant mistress who treats Nordisy like a sister in public; and Ellie, whose shy dolls sometimes become living, wooden puppets that seem to help with household tasks. The interactions, dark secrets, and evolving relationships deepen the atmosphere as you navigate danger and deception.
