Skybound is a 3D exploration platformer built around exhilarating, fluid movement. Step into the boots of Bell, a young archaeologist on her first solo contract, and leap into a world of mystical floating sky islands filled with ancient ruins, environmental puzzles, and secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Traversal is the heart of the experience. With Bell’s specialized gear—most notably a Grappling Anchor—you’ll swing between platforms, chain momentum, and master the magical Flow to move faster and farther than seems possible. Sprint, jump, grapple, and pull yourself through the air as you learn routes, optimize angles, and turn exploration into a playground of parkour-like motion.

Across three distinct islands, you’ll investigate forgotten structures untouched for ages, search for collectibles, and solve light environmental challenges that reward curiosity and experimentation. The islands are also home to curious and quirky inhabitants, adding character and mystery to your journey as you push deeper into the ruins.

The story begins with Bell’s unusual upbringing under Professor A. N. Curia, an academic devoted to studying ancient human civilization. Raised alongside artifacts and excavation trips, Bell grows into a capable archaeologist—eager to prove herself. Her first assignment sounds simple: retrieve a specific artifact from the sky islands. Yet as she explores, the job starts to feel wrong. Why the secrecy? What does the client truly want? And what is the real purpose of the relic hidden among the clouds?

Skybound currently includes Act 1, with the possibility of more acts depending on reception. It is a student-made demo created in a short development period, so you may encounter rough edges or minor bugs, but the focus remains clear: satisfying movement, inviting exploration, and a mysterious adventure above the world.
