Us or Them is a 26-player asymmetrical horror game set in a mysterious organization that sends Explorers on dangerous expeditions into the unknown. The core goal for Explorers is to uncover valuables—treasures, relics, artifacts—and return them to the ship to claim their payout.

Time is your enemy. A daylight drive the expedition, but as the sun sinks, dangers intensify. One player begins the round as a brutal Monster. When Explorers fall in the cursed lands, they return as Lesser Monsters, spreading fear and chaos. Every death can ignite a chain reaction, turning allies into threats as cunning and missteps change the balance of power.

Cooperation is essential but fragile. Explorers must rely on each other to dig up loot, push deeper into the forest, light the way with lanterns, and haul discoveries back to safety. Fear and panic can tear teams apart even as teamwork remains the only route to success. The Monsters leverage speed, ambush tactics, and relentless pressure to erode morale and isolate targets.

The day–night cycle reshapes every expedition. During the day, explorers gain momentum and safer passage as they collect goods. Nightfall doesn’t make monsters stronger, but it makes the world significantly more dangerous for those seeking loot. Use lanterns, coordinate routes, and move with urgency to secure valuables before darkness closes in.

Survival is the primary objective. Monsters watch from a distance, ambush stragglers, and overwhelm isolated players. If too many Explorers perish, the wilderness fills with threats, and the odds swing toward the sinister. Each successful extraction adds experience, yet only escaping with goods truly pays off.

The game also features a social hub where players interact with guild representatives, take on quests, and exchange loot for currencies that unlock cosmetics and character upgrades. Form parties between expeditions and plan your next foray into the unknown together.
