Civilization Directive description
Civilization Directive
Civilization Directive is a science-fiction strategy and social simulation shaped by philosophy, moral conflict, and the fragile architecture of belief. You don’t command armies on a battlefield—you act as a Consciousness Arbiter, weighing the value of individual lives against the survival of entire worlds. At the edge of the galaxy, civilizations rise inside a hazardous vortex of politics, technology, and ideology, and your judgments decide what is allowed to endure.
The universe has entered a tense, carefully maintained peace. In response to growing instability and external “cognitive waves” that threaten runaway consciousness at a cosmic scale, the Interstellar Civilization Alliance enforces the Expansion Species Restriction Act. Under this mandate, a long-term experiment begins: the Civilization Descent Protocol, designed to test and reshape the boundary between individual awareness and collective evolution. Your role is to guide—or limit—that evolution, confronting the cost of order, the suppression of thought, and the struggle for free will.
Core Experience
- Deep decision-making: Choices ripple across politics, culture, and identity, altering both narrative and the long-term fate of civilizations.
- Philosophical simulation: Engage with questions of morality, power, belief, and freedom—often without clean answers or “perfect” outcomes.
- Interstellar strategy: Govern at a high level, shaping social structures and steering civilizations through transformation, collapse, or rebirth.
- Factions in conflict: Navigate competing visions of the future as you confront forces such as DRAZTHAR, AWAKENERS, and ZYRA-NUL.
Every character you meet carries personal motives, loyalties, and contradictions. Relationships are layered, and the “right” decision is often the one you can justify—and live with. Will you intervene to redirect a destiny, or allow a civilization to reach its conclusion untouched?
Your Directive
The game’s outcomes are not predetermined. Your governance, judgments, and compromises unlock multiple endings—from renewal to erasure—each reflecting how you defined consciousness, freedom, and responsibility. In Civilization Directive, the coming conflict is not fought with weapons, but with ideas—and you are the force that decides what the universe becomes.
