Mana Runner

Mana Runner is a retro-cyberpunk action RPG set in an alternate-history New Orleans, 1997. In this city, Half-Orcs, Elves, and Mana-powered magic exist beside neon-lit alleys, corporate sprawl, and back-alley tech dealers. Mega-corporations rule with ruthless efficiency, stamping out dissent and shaping every corner of life. Survival means trading in the shadows, reading the streets, and never trusting the surface.

The city breathes with rain-slick reflections, arcade buzz, and the echo of motorcycles over mangrove-lit canals. You play as Jake Gideon, a weathered mercenary, data courier, and Mana Runner for hire. Your contracts pull you deep into the underbelly, where every alley hides a threat and every boardroom hides a secret. The line between ally and adversary blurs as you chase clues, chase credits, and chase your own past.

Runners and roles

Recruit a crew of skilled Runners, each with their own class, abilities, and combat role. Hackers crack digital defenses and slip through surveillance; Enforcers punch through front lines with armored grit; Mana Priests channel destructive or healing magic, bending mana to your will; and many more roles await your command. Build your team, tailor their loadouts, and weave synergies that let your squad outmaneuver overwhelming odds.

The game blends fast-paced action with tactical planning. Engage in high-stakes firefights, hack fortified data vaults, and cast mana in spectacular clashes as you move between street-level skirmishes and gleaming corporate towers. Story and progression

Missions swing between intimate personal stakes and city-wide conspiracies. Your choices shape the story: alliances forged in the shadows, betrayals that cut deep, and endings that reflect how far you’re willing to go for answers, for your crew, or for a new dawn in New Orleans.
