Echoes of the Golden Branch blends idle collection, desktop companionship, rule-driven horror, and narrative exploration. The core loop centers on Stardust, a black-and-white resource that accrues over time and reshapes M‑501’s appearance, mood, and speech. Different Stardust types unlock new events and drive branching storylines, pushing you toward hidden truths about the facility and its inhabitants.

The game features a Desktop Mode where Selah accompanies you on your computer screen. Activating this mode modestly boosts Stardust production, intensifying the sense of presence as you patrol, rest, or work inside the facility.
