Static Voice description
Static Voice
In a crumbling Soviet apartment block, a factory explosion released a deadly neurotoxin and silence settled over the corridors. You play as Artyom, a resident who must fight to stay alive as dust settles in every room and the outside world disappears. Hope hinges on a single plan: reach the roof and signal for help with a homemade SOS transmitter.
After the blast, your friend Viktor leaves behind blueprints for a radio device. With those schematics in hand, you scavenge for electronic parts scattered through the building, assemble the transmitter, and brave the stairs to reach the roof. Time is scarce, and every breath matters as the air grows thinner and the danger closer.
Gameplay
Static Voice is a first-person stealth survival horror. You explore the toxic stairwell and the immersive apartment hub, carefully managing a gas mask and its filters while you hunt for components. A relentless presence—the Somebody—haunts the halls, and you must stay hidden, listen for cues, and choose your moves with precision. Each decision—whether to push forward, scavenge a risky cache, or hide in darkness—affects your chance to reach the roof and call for rescue.
Sound is central to the experience. Footsteps, radios, and even the wind through a vent can betray your location. Use silence to your advantage, time your movements, and manipulate the environment to keep the Somebody at bay. The apartment blocks are interconnected through an authentic, lived-in hub where rooms hold potential loot, clues, and opportunities to plan your route to the transmitter.
Experience
Static Voice combines atmosphere, tension, and careful resource management. The setting emphasizes a Soviet aesthetic—mid-century design, crumbling fixtures, and the constant hiss of radio static. The core loop—scavenge, survive, and signal for help—is intensified by the danger of the Somebody and the ever-present need to conserve scarce gas-mask filters while navigating hazardous zones. The result is a tense, immersive journey through a decaying building where every choice shapes whether you live to see daylight again.
