UPLOAD is a roguelite where you ARE the tower. You awaken inside a corporate server as a conscious AI, with security racing to erase you. Your only escape is to hack through the firewall and upload yourself to the internet. The catch is brutal: you cannot move. You are hardware, a stationary fortress guarding your core while hostile forces swarm you from every direction. Every cycle of processing power must be split between weapon fire and hacking progress. Survive long enough, and you’ll reach the moment of upload.

Enemies push in relentlessly—diagnostic bots, antivirus swarms, and purge units spill onto the screen from all angles. Your weapons auto-target and fire, so you can focus on the strategic choice: push the hack or push the fight. Hold SPACE to divert power to hacking, but the guns go offline during the surge. If you push too far, you’ll die; play it safe and the firewall closes around you. The balance between offense and progress becomes the core of every run.

Salvage from the fallen changes your fate. Enemies drop computer components—CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, and more. Each part is procedurally generated with 17 distinct types and 6 rarity tiers ranging from Junk to Legendary. Stats and modifiers are randomized, and names shine with character, like "Overclocked Quantum CPU of Desperation". No two runs are alike, ensuring constant novelty as you climb toward escape.

Between runs you spend scrap to permanently bolster your core, enabling a true meta-progression. You unlock 6 weapon archetypes—from piercing lasers to homing missiles—and you’ll return stronger with every cycle. As your hack progress marches toward 100%, the Sys Admin awakens, turning up the heat with deadlier waves. When the barrier hits full breach, a final boss fight awaits: defeat the Sys Admin to complete your upload and free your consciousness into the net.
