ノースウェステリアの子供 description

ノースウェステリアの子供

Story
A husband endures the loss of his wife, who dies before revealing where a lottery ticket is hidden. Motivated by a fate he cannot ignore, he descends into Hell to uncover the truth and reach the conclusion of a story driven by a motive lighter than life itself. This is a journey into an unfamiliar underworld, where the past and present blur as he seeks his deceased partner and the ticket’s fate.

Gameplay & Mechanics
This is a first‑person exploration adventure with a mostly linear structure. Players walk through stages, examine the environment, and interact with objects to progress. There are no combat encounters, and the game emphasizes atmosphere over action. A small amount of action-based controls is present, but the experience is designed to be accessible and focused on discovery rather than difficulty.

Objective
Explore the world of Hell, locate the deceased wife, and guide the story toward its resolution. The journey serves primarily as a narrative experience rather than a traditional game with progression systems.

Atmosphere & Visuals
A distinctive monochrome aesthetic defines the visuals, while color is used selectively to heighten psychological horror. The sound design and spatial layout amplify a sense of fear and unease, delivering an atmosphere-driven experience with restrained jump scares.

Accessibility & Challenge
There are no enemy combatants and no extensive progression systems. The game leans toward a low-difficulty, story-first approach, making it suitable for players who dislike horror yet seek a narrative-driven experience.

Length & Experience
The game offers a compact playtime of approximately 1 hour, delivering a complete, self-contained story in a short, immersive session.

Development & Background
Created as a solo project by a 20-year-old student who self-taught both programming and design. Development lasted about one month, with the creator investing roughly 70% of their total savings. It stands as the developer’s third solo work, showcasing a personal, indie spirit and a focused, storytelling-driven approach.

Streaming
Video streaming and Let’s Play content are allowed, inviting players to share their experiences while respecting the game’s atmosphere and pacing.
