Story premise: Yan Yuechu, the male protagonist and the player’s point of view, suffers memory loss from youth after a serious injury. Returning to his hometown, he becomes entangled with Xu Aiyoe, the owner of a real-life escape room who is rumored to be the incarnation of a demon. Those who play in her rooms are said to be enchanted and trapped in nightmares. Yuechu joins the game despite the rumor, and upon returning home he experiences a nightmare of being imprisoned in an endless escape room. Nightmares bleed into reality as people around him are attacked or kidnapped, and the mystery deepens as he uncovers his past and the growing love-hate relationship with Xu Aiyoe.

Supportive figures and themes: Hu Zhi, the protagonist’s new colleague and longtime classmate, steps in to protect him from manipulative temptations and to navigate the thin line between devotion and deception.
