Ned Gardens unfolds across eight distinct areas, each home to its own collection of enigmatic puzzles.

Across more than 100 lawns, every patch of grass is a potential puzzle. Hectare moves on a grid, and each step cuts the grass on the tile he occupies. To solve a lawn, every grass tile must be cut to the precise length required by that lawn’s design. It’s a test of logic, spatial reasoning, and careful maneuvering as you shape the landscape from tile to tile.

The core mechanic nods to classic grid puzzles, echoing the precision of Sokoban—but there are no boxes to push. The challenge comes from sequencing moves, predicting the consequences of each cut, and guiding Hectare through intricate lawn patterns without backtracking. Each lawn presents a distinct rhythm and constraint, inviting you to plan ahead and adapt your approach on the fly.

Ned Gardens is also a living, breathing archive of exotic flora. Every flower you encounter can drastically alter the standard lawn rules. These rule-changing blooms are learned through experimentation, observation, and persistence. Once you uncover how a flower shifts the puzzle, you must master the new constraints to continue toward the next area and its challenges.
