Bubba Yuga description
Bubba Yuga
A curse has fallen on the Baba Yaga sisters: two are bound together by magic, while the third has been transformed into a house that stubbornly follows your every step. In this charming co‑op adventure, you must work together to solve puzzles, locate missing children, and lift the family curse.
Designed for local multiplayer, Bubba Yuga invites you and a friend to team up with your shared magic. Navigate a puzzle‑filled forest, using your tether and abilities to move objects, reach hidden pathways, and coordinate actions that would be impossible solo. The experience emphasizes cooperation, timing, and clever teamwork as you explore a world that rewards smart collaboration.
The house‑sister acts as your roaming base, shadowing the journey while the two bound sisters wield the central tether. Your tether is a versatile tool and lifeline: you can dangle off ledges to swing across gaps, pull heavy physics objects into place, yank the other player to reposition, and create new routes through the environment. Mastery comes from syncing your moves with a partner to overcome obstacles and unlock routes that require two players working in harmony.
Across the woods, you’ll find lost children waiting to be rescued. Each saved child is brought back to the house‑sister, strengthening your shared progress and opening up fresh puzzle opportunities. The act of returning children reinforces teamwork and gives the journey a warm, rewarding rhythm as you uncover the mystery behind the curse.
The gameplay is approachable and family‑friendly, offering a cozy visual style and clever physics challenges that lean into communication and trust rather than combat. The world is crafted to feel inviting and whimsical, inviting players to experiment with combinations of pulls, lifts, and tethered movements to discover new solutions at every turn.
Bubba Yuga was created in six weeks by students at the University of Utah for the Master of Entertainment Arts and Engineering program. The result is a compact, expressive co‑op puzzle experience that centers on collaboration, creativity, and the joy of solving together with a friend by your side.
Note: Bubba Yuga is local‑only and requires a controller. There is no online multiplayer option, making it a perfect couch‑co‑op title for shared play sessions.
