Wireworks is a base-defense roguelike auto-battler where your defenses are built and controlled using a modular board. Design and deploy your fortress by wiring together modules, calibrating their interactions, and orchestrating data signals that trigger fire, shield, or turret responses. Waves of enemies and towering bosses advance across your map, challenging your layouts, timing, and resource balance. With every run you redefine how your grid behaves, and a single misstep can spell disaster or open powerful new possibilities.

On the module board, wires act as lifelines between different devices. You place defensive modules, connect them with wires, and tune the flow of power and data to activate abilities in precise combinations. The auto-battle layer handles combat, but your strategic control over placement, signal routing, and timing is what determines success. Combine signals to create synergies that amplify damage, defense, or crowd-control, while countering the specific threats of each wave and boss.

Powerful variety comes from more than 150 items and skills to mix, match, and discover new builds. Each run generates unique layouts and gear drops, rewarding experimentation and planning. Modules have distinct personalities and costs, inviting you to pursue aggressive, defensive, or hybrid playstyles depending on your board configuration.

Explore three unique areas, each with its own enemy families and boss encounters. From cramped chokepoints to open arenas, you’ll meet different threats and environmental hazards that test your wirework instincts. Boss fights demand tight coordination and hard choices about which modules to cluster or split across the board.

Unlockable characters change how you approach Wireworks. Each character brings special skills and starting kits, offering fresh starting points and strategic options as you progress through runs and unlocks.

For growing challenge, the game features ascending difficulties, pushing you to optimize layouts under tougher conditions. And when you crave endless endurance, Endless Mode lets you push your builds to their limits, facing unending waves that scale in power and complexity.
