OUTSIDE

OUTSIDE is a multiplayer dare game show that turns real social pressure into escalating challenges. Your friends dare you, you lie, sabotage, and bet on your own failure. Fail a dare, and you’re sent OUTSIDE, stepping into real-world dares performed in front of neighbors and spectators. The game blends classic Truth or Dare with camera-enabled play and live reactions to create moments that linger long after the session ends.

Core setup

• 2–4 players per house; neighbors are auto-matched when available.
• When neighbors aren’t available, in-game consequences and outcomes substitute in real-time.
• A microphone is required so neighbors can hear you. In-game voice chat is required; using Discord may mute you to neighbors.

Camera and IRL mode

• Camera / IRL Mode is optional but dramatically amplifies the experience.
• No webcam? Use your phone camera via third‑party tools. You can disable the camera at any time.

How it plays

Each session lasts about 35 minutes and ends with a recap of the mastermind, hero, and villain. The flow:

1. Spin a bottle to select an author and a target.
2. The author crafts or customizes a dare for the target and sets a timer.
3. Base dares range from inside-the-house challenges to physics-based tests (like tossing a ball into a cup or building a small tower).
4. The author acts as judge, deciding if the target succeeds or fails. They may lie, reinterpret the dare, or evolve it as the moment unfolds.
5. The deeper you go in the show, the more incentive the author has to undermine you.
6. If you fail, you’re sent OUTSIDE to perform a real-world action in front of watching neighbors and spectators.

Rules, twists, and danger

• Neighbors can knock on your door during play, escalating the tension and reaction.
• IRL Dares trigger if you enable IRL Mode and the camera is on.
• Use the REVENGE feature to craft a counter-dare against the author and settle scores.
• Spectators can bet on outcomes and interfere, amplifying the chaos or offering aid depending on the moment.
• Truth questions are not built-in, but you may substitute any custom prompt with a dare if you wish.

Privacy and safety

Camera-enabled play keeps visibility to a minimum: only up to four neighboring players can see you. All connections are peer-to-peer; no camera data is sent to a central server. Moments may be streamed or recorded by others. Private Sessions are available to disable neighbors entirely.
