Dark forces have spent too long toiling in the shadows, and now they’re here to enact their maniacal plans. Under the command of The Monarch, hordes of possessed soldiers march on Tactria, hoping to seize control for their crazed leader. Tactris is a strategic puzzle-battle game where you arrange your units before sending them head-first into the fray.

The core idea is simple but demanding: position and rotate formations to match units of different types. Enemies are defeated by creating coordinated chains of units of the corresponding type. Your goal is to reach the backline of the enemy forces and push deeper into their territory, advancing from area to area, collecting upgrades along the way, and growing your power as you go.

It won’t be easy. Bosses and modifiers stand in your path, delivering devastating attacks and strong defenses that require careful planning and quick thinking. Stay on your toes, think ahead, and choose your upgrades wisely, or you may fall short of progress.

Tactris offers two distinct modes to suit your playstyle:

• Endless Mode: A relaxed yet challenging run through endless waves of simple enemies. See how high you can score and how large a chain you can build as you rack up combos.
• Campaign Mode: A roguelike experience that pits you against an array of bosses controlled by The Monarch. With increasing difficulty and random modifiers, you’ll need smart formations, precise rotations, and strategic upgrades to survive. Can you defeat The Monarch, or will you become just another pawn in their army?

Prepare for tense strategy, precise placement, and escalating danger as you push deeper into hostile territory. Tactris challenges you to blend puzzle-solving with tactical combat, rewarding foresight, adaptability, and careful resource management at every turn.
