Story and Characters
You play as Jasmine, a 26-year-old human who hasn’t stepped outside her apartment in five years. Her quiet life shifts when her new neighbor, Nico, forces her into the world beyond her door. Through friendship, small adventures, and chapters that mix everyday life with mystery, Jasmine discovers there’s more to life than doomscrolling. Chapters range from stopping a coffee conglomerate from overtaking a beloved local shop, to investigating rumors of a killer in the woods, to racing to a movie premiere before it starts. Along the way, the world’s fate could hinge on what you—and your Ponpai—choose to do.
Battle System
- Battles unfold on two fields: yours and the opponent’s. Each side brings three Ponpai to the fight.
- Every Ponpai has three attacks, each with its own range on the battlefield. If an attack can’t reach, you can move your Ponpai to position for impact.
- Attacks aren’t limited to dealing damage. You can apply buffs and debuffs, heal teammates, inflict status effects, and even lay traps on the ground.
- The goal is to reduce the opposing team’s combined HP to zero. The battles are framed as friendly and fun, with playful consequences for the losing side.
Befriend and Build Your Team
There are more than 250 Ponpai to discover. They’re all part of the world’s fabric, capable of joining your team after battles or through friendship. Befriend them, learn their quirks, and assemble a team that complements your strategy.
