Late Night Duty description
Late Night Duty
You’re assigned to Chempaka School at 11:30 PM. No training, no briefing, no experience. The night guard didn’t show up and there’s no explanation. They need someone now, and you need the money, so you say yes. What starts as a routine patrol quickly becomes something unnerving.
Core gameplay centers on patrolling and recording each location’s status with a cassette. Every clock-in must be logged on a tape, and some cassettes hide behind puzzles while others sit in plain sight. Your setup is intentionally minimal: you arrive with no pockets or backpack. Everything you carry must stay in your hands.
You have a two-hand inventory constraint: keep a flashlight in one hand, and use the other hand to open doors, operate tools, and interact with the world. No stashing, no cheats—pull doors open at your own pace, balancing movement with the need to keep essential items at the ready.
Explore a campus that refuses to feel right. Patrol through distinct areas, each with its own layout, obstacles, and quirks:
- Guard Post
- Canteen
- Toilet
- Classroom
- Library
Some spaces are trickier to navigate than they should be. Some corridors and rooms feel ominously off. Your task is to navigate to the clock-in spots in each area, no matter how inconvenient the path becomes.
Key features include first-person atmospheric horror, a strict two-hand inventory system, minimal UI and physical interaction, and location-based patrol challenges. The game embraces PSX-style visuals to reinforce a sense of retro unease while you trek through a nightmarish school.
Stay alert: whatever you do, never assume you’re alone. The hallways hold more than you expect, and each clock-in brings you closer to the truth behind Late Night Duty.
