GameApi Builder description
GameApi Builder is a complete 3D engine and node graph tool designed for creating trailers, game prototypes, and even full games with practical caveats. It ships with a vast library of 600 nodes that you can assemble into a full product using a scripting approach that stores the node graph, including node types and all tweakable parameters needed to shape the final result.
The product targets learners from high school level and above, offering a friendly entry point to game development while providing substantial power for more advanced projects. If you are ready to begin your game development story, this tool guides you through a visual, node-based workflow powered by a flexible scripting layer.
Visual editing and workflow are centered on a node graph editor. The interface presents the builder as a visual workspace where logic and presentation are wired through ML-style nodes. The run_window node gives a full in-editor game display for quick screenshots, testing, and video capture, so you can iterate rapidly as you build your experience.
When your project reaches a deployable state, use the html_run and save_deploy nodes to create an HTML5 distribution package. The tool outputs a ready-to-deploy ZIP file that can be uncompressed in your hosting location to expose a web-facing entry, such as a display page that runs in a browser.
Browser deployment and performance are designed around standard web hosting practices, but the browser version runs best with proper server configuration. Some features are dependent on the hosting environment: SharedArrayBuffer support, HTTPS, and compression (Brotli) enable better performance and multi-core utilization. In environments where pthreads or Brotli are disabled, performance may be slower and you will need to adjust server settings to unlock the full potential of the tool and its multi-core execution.
What you get is a practical pipeline from node-based authoring to HTML5 distribution, with an editable 3D engine core, a comprehensive 600-node library, and a scripting layer that captures the node graph, its types, and parameters. It’s a versatile platform for crafting trailers, prototyping gameplay ideas, and delivering playable web experiences, all through a streamlined, visual development process.
Note: the final Web output is delivered as a deployable package, ready for hosting. Ensure your hosting setup meets modern web requirements (HTTPS and Brotli support) to maximize performance and compatibility across devices.
