Nightcap Witch is a roguelite strategy game where you defend the eternal spring from a creeping horde of nightmares using a limited number of units and a crafted deck. Each run challenges you to balance offense, defense, and timing as you push back the darkness and reclaim peaceful sleep.

Limited units, unlimited strategy. You summon a small squad and position them at key locations at the right moments. With a cap on how many units you can manage at once, every deployment counts. Success hinges on choosing the right moments to summon, the best spots on the map, and crisp unit placement to tilt battles in your favor.

Three-attribute matchups. Units come with three combat-style attributes. Read your enemies and respond with advantageous matchups while avoiding unfavorable ones. The art of the fight is in recognizing when to strike, when to retreat, and how to pivot your strategy as enemy compositions shift across the battleground.

Terraform and trap the night. Use terrain to your advantage. Grassland can be set ablaze to wipe out clumped foes, barricades slow or stop progress, and magic circles bolster your units. Creativity with the environment is part of the defense, turning scenery into a tactical edge against the nightmare horde.

Deck-building and power-ups. Build a deck of up to eight cards that define your core strategies. Stack three of the same card to unleash a significant power boost, creating powerful synergies and surprising counters to tougher waves. Each unit also brings its own strengths, becoming reliable allies as you push deeper into your campaign.

Progression, difficulty, and modes. Your base abilities evolve as you play more, letting you tailor the challenge to your skill level. If you want a tougher test, you can raise the difficulty and push your limits. For ongoing play, there is an Endless Mode to chase high scores and refine your tactics over extended runs.

Atmosphere and content. Experience cute pixel art and a whimsical world, where mysterious characters continually appear to aid or complicate your quest. Along the way you’ll encounter a variety of curious and chewy creatures that keep each run fresh and full of surprises.
