VeinLight is a tense, atmospheric survival roguelite where you face the weight of a daily quota and an advancing darkness that clings to the mines. Your voice is your lifeline: when the torch sputters and shadows close in, speaking, singing, or screaming into your microphone pushes back the damage of the darkness. Keep talking to stay alive until you rediscover the light.

• Daily Grind: Mine coal, gather rare ores and mushrooms, and decide how to spend your time. You must fill the quota before nightfall to advance.
• Upgrades and Trade: Sell loot to a merchant to buy better pickaxes, lanterns, and potions that let you dig deeper.
• Time Pressure: The clock is always ticking. Delays cost safety and limit your options for the day.

Failure is built into the system. If you miss your daily quota, the Cave Troll awakens at dusk and roams the mines. It won’t be defeated—only escaped. Your choices matter: push for one more ore and risk the encounter, or bank earnings and retreat to safety.
