A story to tell, and to be remembered. The powerful wizard Sprinklebottom’s memory is fading. He needs your help to remember his adventures and how he defeated a powerful dark evil, to make sure his knowledge isn’t lost forever. Sprinklebottom and the Haunted Ruins is a roguelite adventure with turn-based combat that invites you to retell the tale of how he fought his way from the safety of his tower all the way to the Dwarven kingdom and cleansed it of corruption. Each run offers a chance to recover fragments of his past and uncover the truth behind the fall of the dwarves.

During each attempt you will find useful items, learn powerful new abilities, and befriend mighty new allies who will join you on your travels. Each companion has their own unique set of abilities, so choosing who to recruit and how to combine their strengths becomes essential strategy. After every retell, most of your characters’ progressions are kept, letting you grow stronger across runs until you reach the Dwarven kingdom and cleanse it from evil.

You will have to defeat many powerful enemies during this adventure, so enter each battle well prepared. Research new abilities, or enhance the ones you already know, with resources you gather on your journeys. Plan your actions in tactical, turn-based combat, and use the items you collect to buff allies, debuff foes, or unlock crucial synergies. The more you learn about the past, the stronger you become, enabling you to push toward the heart of the darkness and reclaim the dwarven homeland.

Every run reshapes the world. The enemies you face, the places you go, the items you find, and the allies you meet are randomized during each retell attempt, delivering a unique story every time.
