Matchmaking for Ghosts description
Matchmaking for Ghosts
Step into the Afterlife in this character‑focused, narrative‑driven visual novel about love, loss, and unfinished business. You’re dead, but the question remains: what comes next? The game distinguishes itself by letting you inhabit multiple ghostly leads, each with their own past, regrets, and view of the world. Every perspective reshapes the same afterlife, offering a fresh emotional lens on the story you chase.
You’re thrust into a sequence of speed‑dating rounds, forced to reckon with your death within a narrow window. Your soulmate matters—because Death will judge you if you fail. Eight other ghosts share this fate, so you’ll make friends, break hearts, and stir a little chaos along the way. This is your second chance, and you don’t get a third.
Gameplay and feel: Play as one of the dead in an eerie hotel run by Death itself. Form bonds with other lost souls through witty conversations, playful flirting, and hard choices. Your path is sculpted by every decision, including risks you take and the words you choose. At the end, your efforts will be judged—ascension, descent, or something worse.
Structure and features: The game emphasizes choices that shape relationships and outcomes. There are multiple unique CGs for every pairing, with several CGs per character, and a variety of environments brought to life by distinct soundtracks, artwork, and backgrounds. Expect a creepy hallway, a glowing arcade, a luxurious Victorian parlor, and even a Bunny Café as you explore the hotel’s secrets.
Sound and atmosphere: Immersive audio design complements the visuals—footsteps, creaks, flickering candles, and voice‑acted scenes. The original soundtrack is expansive, with over 35 tracks, each character and location carrying its own thematic motif to deepen the mood of every encounter.
Cast and dating: Meet an assortment of ghosts from different time periods and regions. In the current lineup, Mary, Alice, Zack, and Ryder are dateable, each with a distinct personality: Mary is a fragile yet razor‑sharp orphan pianist; Alice is classy but blunt with a dark, unpredictable streak; Zack is a laid‑back, streetwise specter masking deep regrets; Ryder is an honorable detective who died with unresolved mysteries. Beyond them lie many more spirits waiting to test your heart.
Demo and pacing: The demo provides Mary and Ryder as playable POVs, with several rounds of dating and eight hours of gameplay. Enjoy emotionally rich voice acting, polished visuals, immersive audio, and gifts you can collect from each character as you progress. For the best experience, play at a relaxed pace with the sound on and let yourself be drawn into the world.
Are you ready to fall in love with the dead? Your choices, your romance, and your fate all hang in the balance.
