GLOAM: Search Company is a cooperative horror game for up to four players. You take on the roles of members of a rescue agency sent into a haunted forest to locate, protect, and extract survivors lost among the trees. This is more than a simple rescue—your team enters places no one else dares, and not everything wants to be found.

Communication is essential. A microphone is highly recommended to coordinate moves, share information, and plan strategies in real time. For a deeper, more immersive experience, pair your play with headphones so you can feel the atmosphere and the tension of the environment.

Core loop: rescue survivors, collect and manage resources, and extract everything you can to invest in upgrades that keep your agency running. Resources are finite, and every decision about when to extract and what gear to upgrade affects your team’s safety and ability to press deeper into the forest.

The forest is not empty. It is alive with threats and unpredictable events, testing your coordination and adaptability. You must balance risk and reward as you explore, protect those you save, and extract valuable assets to fund your operations.

Economy and upgrades: Rescues aren’t free. Fees must be paid to maintain operations and unlock better equipment. With improved tools and gear, your team can face tougher challenges, reach more survivors, and ensure your agency’s continued existence in a world that won’t wait for you to catch up.
