Stellar Shipyard is a space colony base builder sandbox focused on constructing modular ships and stations that connect and interact as a single unit. Build ships tile-by-tile, manage complex production chains, and watch your colony evolve from a small mining operation into a galactic empire.

Explore a open universe where you scour asteroids and wrecks for resources, build fleets that transport goods between stations, and even produce resources on their own. Interact with factions to trade resources and personnel, create new outposts, and manage flight schedules to keep the resources flowing.

The game supports solo play, co-op, or competitive play against rival factions. You can team up with friends, join a faction, or challenge them in battles to become the last faction standing. Whether you prefer peaceful trade or conquest, Stellar Shipyard lets you pursue your own goals.

Manage your crew’s energy, hunger, and skillsets as they work across the shipyard and stations. Research new technologies to unlock advanced modules and systems, enabling specialized industrial, military, or trading fleets.

Design ships with full creative freedom while the physics core handles flight. The thrust balancing system automatically finds optimal deployment so you can fly in any direction, even when docking, refueling, or sharing thrust with other ships. You can place machines, weapons, and storage on any hull; lighter ships stay nimble, heavier builds carry heavier loads, and you can push objects through space to achieve ambitious designs.

Combat is a strategic, attrition-based affair. Expect prolonged engagements with projectiles and defenses that require careful resource management. There are no shields blocking action—you can choose automated aiming for precision or take manual control to outsmart an opponent.

Storage and production are organized across multiple stations and ships. Mark crates and machines as exports, imports, or transports to keep complex supply chains flowing. Drones and workers respond to supply, demand, and pricing, rushing to operate workstations when needed.

Modding is central to Stellar Shipyard. Create and customize new technologies, recipes, items, buildings, NPCs, and even AI factions with lightweight text descriptions and art assets. Advanced mods can leverage a scripting system that runs safely in WASM, allowing expansive gameplay changes without requiring scripting expertise.
