The Lost Signal: SCP description

The Lost Signal: SCP is a world‑exploration game where you join a paranormal investigation agency as either a Class D staff member or a Field Agent.

Class D learns the basics by directly interacting with dangerous phenomena, following orders and advancing through the mysteries one peril at a time. The Field Agent arrives at a station cut off from contact and must investigate on their own terms to uncover what happened. Your actions determine what you learn, what you uncover, and the ultimate fate of the agency.

The core mechanic centers on the radio. As you explore, you report discovered phenomena to earn Observation Points, the currency of a world where information is power. Each location you reach has its own atmosphere and challenges, inviting you to push farther into the unknown.

You will traverse a variety of surreal, often menacing realms. Some paths are claustrophobic and endless, others form a warped wardrobe labyrinth, and you may encounter a ruined world overrun by hostile creatures. Other dimensions lean toward dreamlike spaces—Desert, Forest, and Gas Mask worlds—evoking the eeriness of liminal dreams found in classic horror and dream‑like titles.

Every location has its own character, and your exploration unlocks logs and evidence that feed back to HQ, changing the agency's strategy and the broader state of the world as you progress.

Survival is built into the journey: you’ll carry a pistol and a knife to keep threats at bay, while water, canned food, and a reliable flashlight sustain you through long explorations. Hunger and thirst can be as dangerous as any monster, especially in the desert where preparation matters most.

As an Agent, you decide which worlds to prioritize and which puzzles to chase. The anomalies you encounter reference a broad array of SCP stories—objects and phenomena tied to well‑known entries such as SCP‑1499, SCP‑1497, SCP‑860, SCP‑1767, SCP‑249, SCP‑847, and many others—each revealing part of a larger, hidden truth.

What you uncover—and how you respond—shapes multiple endings. Each ending pieces together a larger narrative about what really happened, what the agency risks, and what your own fate becomes.

The Lost Signal: SCP blends atmospheric horror with meticulous world building, inviting you to explore strange dimensions, gather critical information, and confront the unknown in a way that echoes Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and other timeless classics.
