slapTrax — A High-Voltage Keyboard Rhythm Experience

slapTrax is an aggressively kinetic rhythm game that uses your whole keyboard as the controller. DISCLAIMER: this game may trigger keyboard shortcuts managed by your operating system. For the best experience you may need to rebind keys or remove keycaps. It supports you with a customization workflow that adapts to diverse layouts and hardware.

• Arcade-like input in six lanes. The playfield maps six regions of your keyboard to six lanes. Hit any key within a region to register a hit. No need to look down—simply slap the general area and stay in flow as notes sweep by.
• Hardware-ready, flexible bindings. The game works with 60% and full-size keyboards by default. A key customization tool lets you assign any keys to any region, supporting unusual layouts. Your keyboard should support N-key rollover and hardware-level rebinding for optimal play.
• Flow and expressive motion. The input design encourages hands to float and glide across the keyboard, enabling powerful, expressive patterns not found in other PC rhythm games. Some sequences reward cross-hand and rapid swipes across regions.
• Three difficulties with hand-wear themes. BARE starts you off with bare-handed slaps. GLOVE introduces swipe-style notes that require quick region-to-region swipes. SLAP! pushes to the ultimate challenge, with complex swipe and cross-hand patterns that may demand two sets of gloves for formidable runs.
• Music and visuals from a diverse roster. Enjoy tracks from Android52, Camellia, cosmicosmodark, catcute, t+pazolite, azazal, Dashy, Hypnogram, Meebah, and more, plus original compositions by Yuki Marche. Each song brings its own color scheme to the notes and UI for a distinct feel.
• Practice, profiles, and customization. Use practice mode to drill sections, save progress with profiles, and customize your avatar, title, and rating. Adjust note speed and note width, switch color schemes, and tailor accessibility settings to your needs.
• Advanced options and multi-monitor support. An auxiliary window accommodates multi-monitor setups. Fine‑tune audio and input offset, toggle visual effects, and manage per-sound volumes (BGM, menu, hit, guide, and key sounds). Mirror mode and autoplay offer flexible play styles.
• Web UI for progression. A companion web interface lets you view leaderboards, unlocks, and profile customization, providing long-term goals beyond a single session.
