Salmon Tower throws you into a vertical, water-sculpted ascent where momentum is your most valuable tool. Swim to gain momentum, then Jump to unleash a fearless leap that rockets you out of the depths. The core of the experience is smooth, momentum-based movement that can feel punishing in the moment and utterly rewarding when you nail a perfect sequence. Every dash, splash, and spring matters as you push toward the summit.

You take on the salmon’s difficult upstream journey, facing a tower built of peril, precision, and splashing peril. The design uses water as both hazard and accelerator: dashing in and out of the liquid changes rhythm, turning traditional platforming into a fast-paced, satisfying rhythm you learn to master. The climb is a test of timing, courage, and spatial awareness as you navigate eddies, narrow ledges, and sudden drops that demand decisive control.

Two distinctive difficulty options let you tailor the challenge. Normal mode offers checkpoints to cushion missteps, while HARD mode removes checkpoints for a purer, grindier ascent. For players who crave extra distance, there may be hidden challenges beyond the obvious path, inviting you to explore and conquer the tower from different angles.

Time is a constant companion in Salmon Tower. In-game Time Splits record your best runs, helping you measure every speedrun improvement. Ghost Times let you race against your own previous performances, and there are plans to enable sharing those ghosts with friends, turning your climbs into personal competitions you can compare and chase together.

Controls are designed to be accessible yet precise. The game supports keyboard and mouse for direct, responsive input, and it also offers full controller/gamepad support so you can choose the setup that feels best for your play style. The aim is to keep the movement feel intuitive across setups while preserving the challenge of the ascent.
