Purranoia is an action roguelike where you confront endless hordes of foes while facing a major twist: you cannot control your own movement. Instead, you wield a wide range of powerful scientific inventions to defend Mousti, a curious cat caught in a dangerous quantum experiment. Your choices come from the inventions themselves, each behaving in radically different ways.
The core idea is to combine inventions to create thousands of distinct builds. As you experiment with different tools, you’ll discover strategies that suit your playstyle, from precise zoning to chaotic, screen-clearing mayhem. With enough upgrades, you can approach near-permanent invulnerability or even wipe the entire screen of foes in a single moment.
Every foe defeated yields score points that you invest into unlocking Purrks. Purrks widen your tactical options and rewards, ranging from increased survivability and access to more advanced inventions to adjusting the difficulty curve so that higher scores grant greater rewards on each run.
