Undead Chronicles description

Undead Chronicles

Istanbul, 1923. The occupation is crumbling as a plague turns the living into undead—slow, relentless, and lethal. You are RJ Edwards, a British banking official sent to the Imperial Ottoman Bank on a promotion you never wanted. Soon after arrival you wake in an abandoned office, rain hammering the windows and gunfire echoing outside. The radio urges calm. Three days pass, the gunfire stops, the radios fall silent, and the city around you collapses into a silent nightmare.

Harsh, realistic combat — Move through a world where firearms are heavy, slow, and unforgiving. Use historically grounded weapons: a reliable pistol, a bolt-action rifle, and a rare lever-action shotgun. Ammo is scarce and every shot counts. Headshots matter most, but a single bullet to the knee or a miscalculated recoil can ruin your chance to survive. The undead are not faceless hordes; they are injured, sometimes former soldiers, capable of brutal, unsettling behavior. Crippling shots slow them, but you cannot assume safety with any single strike.

Survival framing — No safety nets here. There is no ammo counter, no aim-assist, and no easy reloading. You rely on iron sights, precise bursts, and careful timing. Your pistol buys time, not comfort. Brainrot targets take several hits, and a clean headshot remains the safest path to advance. Distance is your ally; when it closes, you must adapt to brutal close-quarters brutality with the shotgun at the ready.

Atmospheric exploration with logic — This is a puzzle-driven, no-holds-barred descent into a ruined city. Restore power by collecting fusebox pieces and uncover keys hidden in jacket pockets, behind paintings, and inside desk drawers. Every drawer opens unless it’s locked. No crowbars, no candles—just logic, observation, and restraint. Darkness obscures the path, and every switch you flip shapes the ruin you walk through.

Authentic lore, real places — The Imperial Ottoman Bank, Basilica Cistern, Galata’s alleys, and Sirkeci Station appear as nightmares drawn from 1920s Istanbul. Real locations are reimagined in horror, where flooded vaults, candlelit archives, and stone corridors once safeguarding an empire now hide the infected.

Dark, tactile atmosphere — Expect close, visceral violence where silence returns after each encounter. The goal is to control the fight before it reaches you, keeping distance when possible and leveraging environment—lights, power, and shadows—to your advantage. There is no map, no HUD, and no safe escape: navigate by crumpled notes, surroundings, and your own instincts in a world where every switch matters and every shadow is a decision.

Light and choice — The light is yours to manage. You decide what stays lit, and every switch, every corridor, and every encounter tests your nerves and your resolve. Survive the rainy night, and you may learn the dark history that binds the city to its undead fate.
