Oubliette description
Oubliette
Enter a grim French oubliette where prisoners were thrown away and forgotten, and carve your path toward vengeance against the tyrannic King Louis IV De La Tour. Climb from the depths of the dungeon and reclaim your freedom as you cut through waves of foes and traps that lurk around every corner.
This is a twin-stick action game with a 360° aim, delivering tight 2D combat that explodes with intensity. You don’t just fight enemies—you can take control of them. By wielding ectoplasm from fallen foes, you can possess nearby enemies and use their abilities to push forward. When the going gets tough, switch bodies and keep the carnage going—every corpse is another weapon in your arsenal.
- Three character classes: Swordman offers sturdy health and a wide-area effect; Spearman delivers higher damage but attacks in a straight line; Bowman is fast and nimble, though he has the lowest health.
- Progression: Collect up to 27 quirky characters at launch, each bringing fresh flavor and playstyle to your runs. Conquer four challenging levels filled with traps, enemies, and hidden paths.
- Secrets and achievements: Seek hidden routes and unlock a range of achievements that reward exploration and mastery.
Expect tough AI battles that test reflexes and strategy; victory feels rewarding, but even defeat is not the end—possess another foe and resume the assault. The core thrill is mastering risk-filled skirmishes across a brutal, atmospheric dungeon.
Local multiplayer invites friends to join the mayhem. Up to four players can fight together using dedicated controllers. Approach summoning totems and press a button on an extra controller to join the battle and unleash cooperative chaos.
Will you exact vengeance, master every class, and uncover the secrets scattered through the oubliette? Oubliette awaits those bold enough to reclaim what was stolen and to prove that every foe can become a weapon.
