Narik Chess is a versatile chess client that expands the traditional game with a carefully curated set of variants. Each mode can be played as a standalone game or combined with others in a single match, allowing players to experiment with new rules while preserving the core chess experience.

Variants

• Conway Chess: Following cellular automata rules, slimes on the board replicate or die over time, creating moving obstacles that influence mobility and strategy. Players must adapt to shifting terrain as the board evolves.
• Multiverse Chess: A new dimension opens as pieces travel between history boards. Moving across boards adds temporal depth, and traveling to a previous board creates a branching timeline that you must play through, shaping the progression of the game.
• Spell Chess: Enter a wizardly duel where players wield a pool of limited-use spells. Spells can alter tactics, modify piece behavior, or affect the board state, introducing magical layers to strategic planning.
• Duck Chess: A playful twist where, at the end of each turn, both players must move a Duck. The Duck serves as a blocker, denying routes and forcing new paths and plans—Quack quack!
