CM-SS13 description
The year is 2182. High Command sends the USS Almayer to the frontier. You join the Falling Falcons (2nd Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Brigade) with a simple mandate: respond to an unknown distress signal, secure the colony, and neutralize any threats. On the rim of known space, nothing stays simple for long.
CM-SS13 is built on a past‑its‑prime platform, but it’s not your regular SS13. It’s a completely overhauled multiplayer roleplay tactical disaster simulator that marries a retro look with a cutting‑edge, high‑stakes milsim mindset. Your actions drive the round—every bullet, every wound, every host, and every order flowing through the chain of command shapes the fate of the mission.
Key features
- Massively Multiplayer: The scale can approach company‑level operations, with players shouting radio chatter, coordinating movements, and reacting to evolving threats.
- Complex Medical System: Health is not a bar. Treat broken bones, organ failure, overdoses, and other injuries with real impact on the round.
- Destructible Environments: Blow walls with C4, weld doors, or burn through jungle terrain—your environment fights back.
- Logistics & Command: Success isn’t only from weapon fire. Requisitions officers order ammo and gear, while the executive crew manages the operational tempo and risk.
- Roleplay First: Immerse in hierarchy, broadcast tactical info, and engage in the distinctive culture of the Falling Falcons.
- Emergent Storytelling: The round can bend in unexpected ways—shelter in a locker for minutes, fight a xenonid with a toolbox, or stumble into a colony crisis.
- Corporate & Hostile Elements: Play as a liaison for shadowy corporate interests, face insurgents, hunters, or MPs enforcing rules when gear or helmets go missing.
There are risks beyond the aliens and saboteurs. The game thrives on open-ended roles and dynamic storytelling where every decision matters, and cooperation or chaos can swing the outcome.
Important notes
Ancient tech powering the game: CM‑SS13 runs on BYOND. Installing Steam will pull BYOND requirements, and you may encounter a BYOND Premium prompt on boot. The UI is deliberately unconventional—the cockpit feel of a distant frontier vessel—and you’ll benefit from reading the starter guide, pressing F1 to summon a Mentor, or asking a nearby Marine for tips.
Roleplay expectations are clear: this is a Medium Roleplay environment. Name your character believably, act like a Marine (or a xenonid, if you choose the other side), and avoid griefing. If you break Marine Law or server rules, MPs or admins will respond to preserve the chaos’s fun, not its frustration.
Prepare for a demanding, highly collaborative experience where the frontier tests your strategy, nerve, and teamwork—one mission, countless possible futures.
