Dragon Blaze is the seventh installment in the vertical scrolling shooter series, delivering refined gameplay and a captivating world. Glide through vivid stages, fight the dark legions, and uncover the mystery behind the Demon King Nebulos as the Sun and Moon Gods awaken in a world at the brink.

New System: Dragon Shoot

The core innovation is the Dragon Shoot mechanic. Your ship can split into two parts—a Rider and a Dragon—opening strategic attack styles. When separated, a powerful close‑range Dragon Shoot emerges, delivering massive damage on contact. You can re‑combine at will to unleash different combinations and create dynamic firepower.

How It Plays

Move with an eight‑way control scheme, aim with precision, and charge the Magic Gauge by hitting enemies. When full, a Super Magic Attack detonates from your shots. Each character has two distinct Super Magic Attacks: one usable during the Dragon’s separation, and another during the Rider‑Dragon combination. A Magic Bomb provides emergency evasion with varying strength per character.

Dragon Control & Power-Ups

After separation, you can recall the Dragon or adjust its position for tactical timing. Power‑ups raise your Shot level up to three, while Magic Bomb stock increases to a maximum of nine. Earn Silver Coins (worth 100 points) by defeating enemies with standard shots and Super Magic Bombs, and Gold Coins (worth 200 points) by defeating foes with Dragon Shots. A Bonus Carry can appear at specific stages to shower you with gold, rewarding aggressive play.

Boss Battles & Bonuses

Each stage culminates in fierce bosses protected by a Core weak point. Hitting the Core with a Dragon Shot yields a Technical Bonus for extra rewards. Your progress is summarized as an Achievement Rate on Game Over, indicating how far you advanced in the run.

Characters & Dragons

Play as a roster driven by distinct heroes and dragons: Quade, Sky‑Riding Dragon Knight, wields a Lance and commands the Fire Dragon, with Burst Lance and Fire Breath magic. Sonia, the Sea King's daughter, uses a Longbow with Aqua Dragon and Diamond Dust magic. Rob, the cheerful Guardian of the Giant Tree Forest, rides a Hammered flight with the Thunder Dragon and Lightning magic. Ian, a Young Necromancer, flies a Skull Dragon with Soul Shot and Death Crash magic.

Dragon Blaze blends classic arcade action with a modern, strategy‑driven twist. Master separation and combination, exploit Core weak points, and chase the ultimate goal: restore balance and defeat Nebulos once and for all.
