Warhounds is a turn-based tactics and strategy game inspired by XCOM and Jagged Alliance, centered on a mercenary squad with an old-school action-movie vibe. Command an elite team of bold, stylish operators, wage a campaign in an alternative-future Africa, and decide the war’s outcome mission by mission.

Be the commander. Calculate lines of fire, flank and break cover, and seize the high ground. Every turn is decided by planning and honest physics—not RNG. Hire fighters with personality and blend classes like Assault, Specialist, Sniper, Machine Gunner, and Grenadier. Pick the right gear for the job, treat and extract, and protect key operatives. Take calculated risks in a world where every choice can tilt the balance, because lethality is real and consequences are immediate.

Between missions, run the base. Recruit, upgrade, purchase equipment, handle logistics, finances, medical, and downtime. Choose allied factions, build relationships, gather intel, and execute covert ops. Your decisions shape access to missions, gear, and allies, creating a living, reactive war map where actions echo across the campaign.

Use tomorrow’s tools to gain the edge. Deploy drones, combat scanners, smoke, and optical camouflage. Upgrade and improve your kit to win under any conditions, adapting to threats on multiple fronts with precision and nuance.

Set the pace. Complete missions in 25–40 minutes for quick, tense runs or dive into longer sessions for a deeper strategic experience. Tune the challenge to taste, from brutal tactical confrontations to more relaxed, methodical play.
