PR0B-1E: Expedition Origin description

PR0B-1E: Expedition Origin

You are PR0B-1E, a lone probe bot stranded on a forgotten mission, drifting through the remains of an unfamiliar galaxy. Across asteroid fields, derelict stations, and sealed structures you encounter tools, resources, and clues left behind by an ancient civilization—and the threat they attempted to stop. This is a physics-driven sci-fi exploration adventure built around a simple loop: discover a location, mine and recover materials, haul them back to safety, and upgrade your systems to push farther into the unknown.

What you do

  • Mine asteroids with physics-based tools by smashing rocks together using your grappling hook and momentum, then leverage magnetism to move the ore through the void.
  • Haul minerals back to stations, guiding recovered resources through debris fields and hazardous corridors while maintaining control of your momentum and magnetized cargo.
  • Scan to discover points of interest. The scanning system reveals tagged objects, interactables, and important targets hidden in the environment.
  • Solve environmental puzzles that test your understanding of energy, movement, light, and magnetic interactions to unlock new paths and rewards.
  • Upgrade at station terminals. Deposit materials, convert recovered cores into rewards, and purchase upgrades that expand your capabilities and open new exploration routes.

Key features

  • Physics-driven mining and hauling focused on motion, impact, and magnetism.
  • Scanning-based discovery that guides you to interactables and navigational targets in unfamiliar zones.
  • Robotic companions you unlock as you progress, expanding how you explore and solve problems.
  • Atmospheric sci-fi locations, including dense asteroid belts, caves, derelict stations, and mysterious corridors.
  • Single-player experience with a story that unfolds as you explore.

As you push deeper into the galaxy, fragments of a larger mystery begin to emerge. Strange structures, corrupted systems, and long-silent machines whirr back to life, hinting at a story that reveals itself through careful exploration and patient discovery. The experience emphasizes solitude and deliberate pacing, inviting careful observation and experimentation as the galaxy reveals its secrets.
