A Spiritual Adventure is a choice-driven experience presented mainly through text, supported by a simple graphical user interface. The design emphasizes player agency, with hundreds of decisions guiding your path and a varied set of minigames to spice the journey. Everything unfolds in a world you navigate by text and quick interactions rather than flashy cutscenes.

You play as… yourself, more or less, entering a quest to do something interesting. Your journey centers on an ongoing feud with an evil, fiendish and staggeringly dastardly enemy. If you choose to pursue it, you can try to kill them, which grants extra points and a nerve-wracking sense of consequence.

What makes the game stand out is its breadth of outcomes. There is no single core storyline to chase; instead, your actions open up many potential endings. The experience has a roguelike edge: runs can be quick, and outcomes vary a lot between playthroughs. Your choices and the passage of time shape what options appear next, so no two runs feel the same.

World exploration happens on a map where different options appear at different times, depending on your prior decisions. You may die, you may win, or you may stumble into something entirely unforeseen. The design rewards curiosity and experimentation, inviting you to trust your instincts and see where a given choice leads.

Content and scale: the game features more than 49,000 words of dialogue, building a substantial textual world to discover. There are 11 minigames, and up to 13 depending on how you define them, each offering a distinct flavor of challenge and entertainment.
