Gloom blends survival, exploration, and atmospheric horror as you navigate dim corridors, ruined research stations, and tangled coastlines of Büyükada. Light is scarce and dangerous: your flashlight’s battery is finite, and every sigh of darkness could hide something deadly. You must scavenge for batteries, manage light, and keep your health intact by finding medical supplies amid the ruins.

To uncover the island's secrets, you must locate eight mystical keys scattered across different zones. Each key unlocks a doorway that gradually reveals the truth behind the crash and the island’s dark history. Restoring power becomes essential as you explore: fuel must be found and used to activate generators, opening routes blocked by collapsed infrastructure and ancient defenses.

Gameplay systems include a camera with zoom that lets you scrutinize clues and spot hidden details in shadows. The zoom helps you not miss crucial evidence, footprints, or cryptic inscriptions that point toward the next location. Environmental puzzles and shift changes keep you guessing as you piece together the island’s story.

Survival combat is avoided in favor of precision and caution: you’ll encounter lethal creatures and environmental hazards that threaten your health. Carry medical supplies and monitor your stamina and wound status as you traverse snaking paths, cliffs, and underwater corridors. Each decision matters because resources are scarce and missteps can be fatal.
